Lily Chetwood,
so insightful into a second generation immigrant life。the words were so beautiful i couldn’t stop reading。 i read it all in one session。
Lizaveth O'Connell,
Absolutely beautiful。 Each part of the book is relatable to life changes。 This is a book I’ll continue to pick up throughout life。 Like many of her other works of art, they are soul comforting。
JADE,
I enjoyed Milk & Honey but this one was so dry。 😴 Rupi Kaur first shared her work on Tumblr, and suddenly became Instagram famous in 2014。 I don’t really consider this “real poetry” but to each their own。 Her poems are Very minimalistic and childlike as if I’m reading a 5 year old’s poem。 I guess her poems are too immature for my taste。 Can’t please everyone。 If you want something amazing I highly recommend “Thrown in the Throat” by Benjamin Garcia
Anurag Kharapkar,
This is an excellent piece of art。 I have given it two stars because I have already read those quotes somewhere else。 She has just shuffled the words here and there。 Some of them were just one-liners from her previous work。
Oana Livia,
amanwho cries-a gift
Helena,
3。75Parts of this book touched me deeply, such as the chapter of rooting。 Falling wasn’t enjoyable for me, it scared me to be truthful。 I skipped a few poems, that I knew pile become hard to stomach, but they were all beautiful, my favorite is definitely the one on page 123, self love, lessons from mamma, funeral and we are not eachothers competition came very close :)
Budoor,
Touched me so well。

Nissa Fuller,
I don’t know much about poetry so it was an okay read。 I liked some poems and disliked others。
Daisy,
*3。5 stars
Josefine,
getting away with it priceless ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
BethAnn,
Beautiful, painful, thought provoking, soul searching, inspiring
Lina,
Personal favorite。 The range of emotion shown through imagery and metaphors i was shocked by made this experiment amazing。 Rupi Kaur is clearly talented, and her poems relate to everyone on different levels。
Chiara,
the poems were so magical and real that, even without living those experiences, you could relate and feel them。 I loved the overall metaphor and all the pictures; my favourite chapter probably is rising but rooting is very dense and meaningful too
Daniela,
Un hermoso poemario,me ah encantado un montón
Eliza Brakeman,
Beautifully written
Bilgenzeynep,
one of the worst books ever written
ella,
would recommend this to anyone and everyone, her poetry is exquisite。
zahra,
i would like to hug the author, please。 i love her and her poetry。
Hannah Sevy,
I LOVE POETRY SO MUCH OH MY GOD。 anyways, this book was beautiful and i loved the illustrations。 her writing style is gorgeous。 the realness in her words (especially in the poems about heartbreak and rape) is so powerful and raw。 this book was lovely。 I GOTTA READ MORE OF RUPI KAUR’S WORK!!!!
Haley,
started this while i drank my coffee this morning。 it was just what i needed。 “i want to rip my hair outover and over and over againtill my mind exhausts itselfinto a silence” “this place makes methe kind of exhausted thathas nothing to do with sleepand everything to do withthe people around me-introvert” “you do not just wake up andbecome the butterfly-growth is a process” i was obsessed with this quote in 2018 so it made me so happy to see it again。might read milk & honey, might not。 my tbr li started this while i drank my coffee this morning。 it was just what i needed。 “i want to rip my hair outover and over and over againtill my mind exhausts itselfinto a silence” “this place makes methe kind of exhausted thathas nothing to do with sleepand everything to do withthe people around me-introvert” “you do not just wake up andbecome the butterfly-growth is a process” i was obsessed with this quote in 2018 so it made me so happy to see it again。might read milk & honey, might not。 my tbr list is so long。 。。。more
Amanda,
I love rupi kaur's writing, she has a way of touching your heart deeply and relate to what she writes。 This is the second book written by her that I read and I loved it even more。 I love rupi kaur's writing, she has a way of touching your heart deeply and relate to what she writes。 This is the second book written by her that I read and I loved it even more。 。。。more

Lucy Lowe,
“i hardened under the last loss。 it took something human out of me。 i used to be so deeply emotional i’d crumble on demand。 but now the water has made its exit。 of course i care about the ones around me。 i’m just struggling to show it。 a wall is getting in the way。 i used to dream of being so strong nothing could shake me。 now。 i am。 so strong。 that nothing shakes me。 and all i dream is to soften。”― Rupi Kaur, The Sun and Her FlowersI loved this collection of poetry so much! Evelien,
Another work of riveting, raw, emotional, hurtful, exciting and uplifting poetry。 I am looking forward to many more literary treasures by Rupi Kaur。
Elina,
Enjoyed it and it was nice
Samantha,
I must say I enjoyed reading this collection better than the Milk and Honey。 Still feel as if the collection is more of thoughts and quotes。 However I did get moved by what I've read and would recommend this book to anyone willing to give a chance。 I must say I enjoyed reading this collection better than the Milk and Honey。 Still feel as if the collection is more of thoughts and quotes。 However I did get moved by what I've read and would recommend this book to anyone willing to give a chance。 。。。more
